My journey in healthcare has taken me from emergency rooms and trauma centers to the world of functional and integrative medicine. Along the way, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Capital University in Ohio and my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Spring Arbor University in Michigan.
I'm deeply passionate about helping people feel their best—caring for the whole person, not just treating symptoms. Whether it’s primary care for the entire family, IV hydration, or restorative therapies like peptides and hormone support, the LKN Wellness team blends the best of modern medicine with holistic approaches for lasting results.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me outdoors—playing tennis, gardening, or exploring nature with my husband and our four adventurous boys. These moments ground and inspire me, reminding me why I’m so passionate about helping others find their own balance and vitality.
Kate Thompson
FNP-BC, MSN
Hi, I’m Kate—a Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of LKN Wellness. My mission is simple: to create a space where patients feel seen, heard, and supported.
I’m a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with a background in cancer medicine, where I discovered both my passion for caring for patients and my desire for a more holistic approach to health. Working in demanding clinical environments deepened my appreciation for the importance of presence, empathy, and time —especially for people navigating difficult health journeys. In 2025, I completed the AFMCP program through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
I believe our bodies are designed with purpose, and I’ve seen firsthand how powerful holistic therapies can be in both patients and my own family. I’m especially passionate about gut health because of its influence on nearly every system in the body.
As a mom of four, I also understand the realities of women’s health on a personal level. Just as life was moving beyond the sleepless nights of early motherhood and hormones seemed to be settling, perimenopause brought a new wave of imbalance. That experience has shaped how I care for women, allowing me to meet patients with both clinical insight and genuine understanding.
Born and raised in the Carolinas, I love calling this part of the country home. These days, life is full with my husband, four lively children, and Bruce, our very short-legged, floppy-eared mini goldendoodle. Between sports practices, competitions, and the rhythm of family life, I understand the challenge of balancing real life and health. I’m lighthearted by nature, and am dedicated to bringing a compassionate, grounded approach to care.
Natalie Fitzgerald

I’m Kelsey, a Nurse Practitioner born and raised right here in Mooresville, North Carolina. Nursing has been my passion for years, and my journey led me to earn my master’s degree from Simmons University in Boston, MA, before returning home to serve my community.
I’m grateful to be part of a primary care and integrative functional medicine practice where I get to help patients become the best version of themselves. Every patient deserves care that goes beyond physical symptoms to address their whole self. That’s only possible because of the incredible group of women I work with, all of whom share my passion for personalized patient care.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to two spirited girls who keep life fun and full of laughter. Our Bernedoodle pup, Guinness, is always part of the adventure, too. Whether I’m planting flowers, exploring nature, or traveling with my husband, these moments fill my cup and inspire me to bring the same balance and joy to my work.

Hi, I’m Holly, a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University in New York. I’ve worked in both intensive care units and outpatient triage, giving me a broad perspective on what patients experience in both urgent and everyday healthcare settings.
My career path took on new meaning when I personally experienced the healing that integrative medicine can bring. Focusing on my own health led me to lasting wellness, and that experience continues to shape the way I care for others. It brings me so much joy to walk alongside patients as they pursue healing in their own lives. I believe deeply in supporting the body’s God-given ability to heal and in honoring each person’s story with compassion, faith, and individualized care.
Outside of work, my family is my world. We spend much of our time at the lake, and it has been especially special to watch our one-year-old son begin to love it, too. I also find sewing, time in nature, and baking bread deeply nourishing to the soul. My hope is to bring that same sense of peace, warmth, and care to every patient experience here at LKN Wellness.

With an extensive background in business management, construction, and project management—and 13 years as a restaurant franchisee—I’ve learned that the heart of any successful venture is connection. That’s why I love bringing my creativity to life through social media content and finding new ways to engage with our amazing community at LKN Wellness.
Faith and family are at the center of my world. I’m a follower of Jesus and a proud mom to three incredible kids—an adventurous 8-year-old daughter and energetic twin 7-year-old boys. My twins are minimally verbal, which has given me a deep passion for the special needs community and a commitment to advocacy that touches every part of my life.
Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my family, gathering with close friends, or being active in my church community. For me, faith, family, and purpose guide everything I do—at home and here at LKN Wellness.

I’m a nursing student at Southeastern College with a heart for patient-centered care and a love for meaningful connections. Whether I’m drawing labs or just offering a friendly conversation, my goal is to make your visit as comfortable and positive as possible.
If needles make you nervous—I’ve got you! I’ll walk you through it, distract you with a story, or let you squeeze my hand (or all three). Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my energetic golden doodle, who always keeps me on my toes.

Hi, I’m Jordan! With a background in medical billing, I’m thrilled to support the LKN Wellness team behind the scenes—helping our providers spend less time navigating insurance and more time focusing on patient care. I know insurance jargon can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make the billing process as clear and stress-free as possible. If you have questions, I’m always happy to help!
Outside the clinic, I love life on our small farm with my husband and two kids. Our 4-year-old daughter is always up for an adventure in the woods or a splash in the creek—and she’s counting down the days until her new baby brother can join the fun. Between our animals and farm projects, there’s never a dull moment!
