What does holistic and integrative mean?
Holistic care focuses on the entire being. Humans are complex, and our providers examine the various factors that may be affecting your health, such as stress, relationships, nutrition, exercise, sleep, past personal and family medical history, and current symptoms.
Our integrative care approach offers patients the benefits of both traditional medicine and alternative or natural therapies. We also offer restorative therapies, including customized IV hydration. When necessary, your provider will collaborate and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to optimize your healthcare experience and outcome.

Does LKN Wellness take insurance?
Yes, we take BlueCross BlueShield and Aetna insurance. Integrative primary care practices like ours are uncommon, as most are cash-only. As a hybrid practice, we do accept insurance; however, we acknowledge there may still be out-of-pocket expenses.
Does insurance cover all LKN Wellness expenses?
It is important to check with your insurance provider to verify that LKN Wellness is in-network and to confirm your deductible details. High-deductible plans may have additional out-of-pocket costs. We believe in transparency and are happy to discuss expenses prior to your visit. Please call us directly at 980-920-3367 so we can work together effectively.
What if I don't have insurance, or you don't accept my insurance?
We are happy to care for you! These are our self-pay/cash pricing rates:

Do you offer in-person and virtual visits?
Yes, new consultations and follow-up visits are offered at our practice in Mooresville, North Carolina, and virtually via telemedicine. Physicals are offered in person only.
How do I pay for labs and other tests?
Our goal is to provide optimal treatments for our patients, and many of our tests are not available at typical primary care offices. We believe these labs are medically necessary. Unfortunately, insurance companies do not always agree. Routine labs are billed through insurance or self-pay. Specialty labs are self-pay only. Here's some good news: our tests are typically covered by HSAs and FSAs. Call your insurance provider to check.
What are the financial requirements?
-
Each patient is required to keep a credit, debit, or ACH bank account on file. You may also use an HSA or FSA card.
-
Payment is due when you check out at the end of your visit, unless we are billing your insurance company.
-
Questions about billing? Send us a message directly through your portal or call the office at 980-920-3367.
How does billing and payment work?
Your portal account is set to automatically pay your bill using your saved card or bank account. If payment is due after insurance processing, you'll receive an electronic link to pay your bill. You have 90 days to make the payment. Any remaining balance will be automatically charged to the saved card or bank account after this period.
What happens when my provider goes on vacation?
Provider vacations are scheduled in advance to give patients as much notice as possible. This allows for regular visits or non-urgent issues to be addressed before the vacation. For any urgent concerns that come up during this time, a provider will be available for a phone consultation. In an emergency, please go to the nearest urgent care or emergency department.
Do you offer in-depth analyses to identify the underlying root causes of my symptoms?
Absolutely! We specialize in integrative and functional medicine, a comprehensive approach that explores your gut health, hormones, food sensitivities, autoimmune conditions, metabolism, and weight loss challenges. Working with your provider, you'll receive functional lab reports and benefit from a personalized, integrative health plan.
Do you give vaccines?
We do not carry vaccines in our office. We can refer you to Minute Clinic, the health department, or an urgent care that administers vaccines. We can also help you make a pre- and post-vaccine plan to boost the immune system!
Do you prescribe regular medications?
Yes, we prescribe pharmaceutical medications when necessary. Our goal is to prioritize natural treatments whenever possible. However, we also value and use conventional medicine when appropriate.
How do I know if LKN Wellness is the right choice for me?
We offer a complimentary 15-minute virtual Meet and Greet! This time gives you the chance to get to know the provider and have all your questions answered before deciding whether to become part of our wellness family. We are a relationship-based practice, and we want to ensure a good fit before embarking on your health journey together.
